Merry Christmas
“There were only two classes of people who heard the cry that night; shepherds and wise men. Shepherds: those who know they know nothing. Wise men: those who know they do not know everything.” – Archbishop Sheen
I would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and a joyful Christmas season. I pray that we all embrace the humility of the manger, and tht we all rejoice in the true gift of our Lord made flesh. I also pray for His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, to continue in guiding the Barque of Peter.
Enjoy the Solemnity of the Holy Family, even if you keep the Feast of St. Stephen in your heart too!
Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen remembered
After celebrating a Mass in her honor every Saturday of his priestly life, Archbishop Sheen passed on into the loving embrace of her Son on the day following the great Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception in 1979. Today, late as it is, please remember the venerable Archbishop in your prayers, and his cause for canonization in your hearts.
Our Lady, pray for us.
Eternal Rest grant unto him, O Lord.
Great post regarding the Immaculate Conception over at New Liturgical Movement
NLM has a great post regarding the Immaculate Conception and Mary as the Ark of the New Covenant. Check it out, let it sink in, pray about it.
O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
